I have never tried Milkbar's ice cream. But I have tried their cakes and cookies. I really liked the cakes. Their cookies are good. Not the best I have ever tasted but good. I really want to try their ice cream but I have not gone to a Milkbar store yet. Some day. I found the Milkbar cornflake crunch recipe on their website and decided to try it out.
This recipe was super easy to make. Milk powder was a little hard to track down but I found it.
This is a must make. Trust me.
Cornflake Crunch
Ingredients:
- 5 cups cornflakes
- 1/2 cup milk powder
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 9 tablespoons of butter, melted
- Heat oven to 275F
- In a large bowl, crush cornflakes to 1/4 of their original size.
- Add the milk powder, sugar, and salt. Toss to mix well. Add the butter and toss to coat.
- Spread the cornflake mixture on a parchment lined baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Your house will start to smell amazing.
- Cool the cornflake crunch completely before storing.
Cornflake crunch is sooooo versatile. You can eat cornflake crunch as a snack, which my 5 year old totally does. Or you can top your cornflake crunch on top of chia seed pudding, which my husband totally does. Or you can be do what I do and top your ice cream with cornflake crunch. Get creative friends!
Keep on cooking!
XOXO
