Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, frozen
- 1 3/4 cups cold buttermilk
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
- Grate the frozen butter and stir into the flour mixture.
- Add buttermilk and stir using a rubber spatula until a soft dough forms.
- Working on a flour surface, knead the dough until it comes together. Roll the dough in a square until about 1 inch thick. Using a sharp knife cut the dough. Please biscuits onto a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Bake for 16-19 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm
